Scholarships
Annually, Richardson Woman’s Club through the Richardson Woman’s Club Charitable Foundation (RWCCF) awards scholarships to senior students accepted at publicly owned colleges in the State of Texas. During 2010–1012, RWCCF awarded a total of 10 one–year scholarships in the amount of $3,250.00 each. Every fourth year, a recipient is chosen to receive the Novella Bailey Scholarship in the amount of $3,200.00 for each year. The DRE Scholarship, which is privately funded, is also awarded annually. The application process is extensive and the most recent recipients were selected from a group of applicants that were interviewed by the Philanthropy Committee. Additionally, a Richland College Adelante Grant (formerly a Restart Grant) was awarded in 2011–1012.
In 1994, The University of Texas at Dallas was awarded a $10,000 Scholarship Endowment which currently enables them to award scholarships yearly as proceeds permit. In the past 5 years, twelve $500 scholarships have been awarded from this endowment. The University of Texas at Dallas totally controls the disbursements from this account and the number varies yearly.

Community Affairs Activities
Richardson Woman’s Club also participates in many hands-on projects that enrich our community. Annually, the Richardson Woman’s Club sponsors Mrs. Claus’ house at Santa’s Village. The entire membership has an opportunity to participate as Mrs. Claus and her elves while passing out delicious cookies to the children of Richardson. The Club also hosts and hides eggs for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt, as well as staff a function at the Great Fountain Festival. Additionally, we serve as a part of the Richardson Arts Alliance.
